Rev. Alfred Johnson
With an extended hand and a joyful spirit Mrs. Johnson and I welcome you to Newman African Methodist Episcopal Church. We are both delighted and excited to share with you the marvelous ways in which God’s hand is at work here.
Our fellowship at Newman is akin to a family affair that is rich in the deeply rooted relationships that matter most. We worship, we serve, we laugh and we reach out to our community with the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we spend time this year in worship, work, and witness, I passionately believe that God has more in store for our congregation. I have no doubt that as we “try God” we will see our church grow in membership, discipleship, stewardship, and in ministry, not for our glory, but so that “His will be done”.
If you do not have a church home and have been thinking, praying, searching, and hoping to find a place where you can belong and feel connected, I encourage you to come and get to know us better. I would count myself blessed to be your shepherd, and we would love to be your church family.
In His Service,
Rev. and Mrs. Alfred E. Johnson
